What you need to rent a car in Dubai
What you need to rent a car in Dubai
To rent a vehicle from VIP Rent a Car you need:
• A valid driving licence — a UAE licence for residents, or an International Driving Permit alongside your home licence for visitors
• Passport and visa page for visitors, or Emirates ID for residents
• A credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit
• Minimum age of 21
A refundable security deposit is held for the rental period and released after the vehicle is returned and any outstanding fines or charges are cleared. Customers may also choose a no-deposit option through Cardoo, which is available for a non-refundable fee, subject to eligibility and applicable terms and conditions.
VIP Rent a Car differs from a marketplace
VIP Rent a Car owns and maintains its own fleet rather than listing vehicles on behalf of third parties. Each vehicle is booked, prepared, delivered and serviced by the company directly, which means one point of contact for the rental, the insurance and anything that comes up during the hire.
Experience and Track Record
Operating in Dubai since 2000, VIP Rent a Car has served residents, business travellers, international tourists and visitors for more than two decades. The company provides luxury and premium vehicles for tourism, corporate travel, weddings, events, photoshoots, airport transfers and long-term monthly rentals.
Dubai’s continued growth as a global tourism destination has also increased demand for premium mobility and luxury car rental services. VIP Rent a Car has been featured in regional business and news publications discussing Dubai tourism, travel demand and premium transportation. In 2026, coverage in Khaleej Times, MENAFN and Al Bayan highlighted VIP Rent a Car’s collaboration with Europcar Dubai and Northern Emirates and the wider role of premium mobility in supporting Dubai’s tourism sector.
